Bajaj Steel Kick Start

The Indian automobile giant, Bajaj is bringing cheers to millions of Indian bike commuters by bringing out a new low cost 100cc bike named “Steel”. This model will be a competitor to the 100cc range of Hero Honda bikes. Expected to be priced around Rs. 34 thousand, Bajaj steel is being manufactured in association with the Chinese makers to keep the price competitive. This unique low cost bike is exclusively designed to cater to the rural market across the country.

Bajaj’s low cost bike “Steel” is expected to have an old fashioned design that resembles the now outdated Boxer range of motorcycles. The round headlamps and round rear view mirrors add up to its retro twist, while the flat tank sans alcove and flat seats are likely to be of Chinese make just like in some of the earlier bike models like the Xenitis 125cc Xpression .

This Kick Start has a 100cc air cooled single cylinder engine and a four gear power transmission to make it simple commuter bike for daily rides. The telescopic forks at the front and spring suspension at the rear will ensure a stable and smooth ride even in rugged village roads. Steel will be targeting rural markets where accessibility is very poor.
